Difference between XElement and XDocument




XDocument represents a whole XML document. It is normally composed of a number of elements.
XElement represents an XML element

Both are the classes defined by System.Xml.Linq namespace

XElement class
represents an XML fragment
XDocument class represents an entire XML document with all associated meta-data.

What is Dot net Framework ?




DOT NET is an integral part of many applications running on Windows and provides common functionality for those applications to run.The DOT NET Framework  is a software framework developed by Microsoft. DOT NET is a general-purpose software development platform, similar to Java.
